Dr Sood is former Professor of medicine, and Chair for Student Life and Wellness at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. He is one of the world's leading experts on resilience and wellbeing and is executive director of the Global Center for Resiliency and Wellbeing. He has presented at NASA, has written numerous books on resilience and has authored or co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers.
