Monica McCann

Secretary

Monica has had a long career as a nurse gaining experience and many skills across a wide range of healthcare. She undertook her general nurse and midwifery training in Ireland before moving to Africa to practice. On return to the UK she undertook further studies at St Thomas’ and St George’s hospitals in renal nursing and transplantation.

As matron for renal services at St George’s Hospital she came to know and value the work of Full Circle, seeing how the therapists worked with clinical teams to make a difference in the provision of care for patients with long term, and or life changing disease.

She sees the work of Full Circle as important in the provision of holistic, integrated care, supporting patients emotionally and physically providing therapies and strategies that can enhance wellbeing. She believes that many more patients could benefit from the work of Full Circle.

She is currently the secretary for Full Circle Fund Therapies.
