Claire joined the Full Circle Fund team in 2019 where she works in adult Haematology.

Claire is qualified with a BTEC Level 4 diploma in Holistic Massage Therapy and has been running her own massage practice specialising in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy and Indian Head Massage since 2011. Prior to this Claire worked in the City for 13 years, after graduating in French and European Studies and teaching English in Poland.

Claire is motivated by supporting the emotional well-being of patients and finds that the restorative and gentle touch associated with clinical massage allows patients a safe space to relax, reconnect mind and body and, very often, sleep. Supporting patients at such a vulnerable and life-limiting time brings her a joy she finds hard to describe.

In her free time, Claire is committed to developing her massage skills further and has taken various courses in Oncology Massage. She also befriends elderly and dementia patients at King’s College Hospital, loves making and mending her own clothes and relaxes by foraging and bird watching on long walks and cycles with her son. Before motherhood, she was an active sailor on the Thames and further afield, something she plans to revisit very soon.
